An Investigative Study on the Development Strategies for Electric Vehicle Enterprises

With the continuous development of science and technology, cars have become an indispensable means of transportation for human beings in daily travel. More and more cars appear in our life. In recent years, as consumer awareness of energy conservation and environmental protection has increased, global demand for sustainable development has increased, and many new energy vehicles. Because the non-renewable resources such as oil and natural gas needed by traditional fuel cars are consumed faster and faster, the exhaust emissions of traditional cars are polluting the environment increases, so new energy vehicles are the future development trend of the automobile industry. With the international context of the rapid development of new energy trams, the sales volume of electric vehicles in China's automobile market is not good. Through data analysis and industry research, the key factors and reasons affecting the development of electric vehicles are found, make certain suggestions to Chinese new energy electric vehicle companies, in order to change the current situation of low sales of new energy vehicles, the report objectively and truly analyses the future planning of the development of Chinese electric vehicle enterprises and the change of the development trend, as well as the moderate fine-tuning of the sales pricing.

Application of Renewable Energy in Green Buildings and Energy Consumption Optimization

INTRODUCTION: With the increasing global awareness of sustainable development and environmental protection, green building has become one of the important development directions in the construction industry. The application of sustainable type energy in the construction industry is of great significance in reducing building energy consumption and environmental pollution. This study aims to explore the application of sustainable types of energy and conduct research on energy consumption optimization. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study is to analyze the current situation of the application of sustainable types of energy in the construction industry, to explore its impact on the energy consumption of buildings, and to propose corresponding optimization strategies in order to achieve the goal of sustainable development of green buildings in China. METHODS: This study adopts a combination of literature review and case study; firstly, a literature review on the application of sustainable types of energy, sorting out its technical characteristics and application effects; then, several typical cases are selected to analyze its energy application and energy consumption in buildings; finally, relevant strategies and suggestions for optimizing the energy consumption are put forward by combining the results of the literature review and the case study. RESULTS: Through the literature review and case analysis, it is found that sustainable types of energy, such as solar energy and wind energy, have been widely used in buildings and achieved certain energy-saving effects. However, there are also some problems, such as inefficient energy utilization and high cost. To address these problems, this study proposes a series of optimization strategies, including suggestions for optimizing energy system design, improving energy utilization efficiency, and reducing energy costs. CONCLUSION: This study concludes that the application of sustainable types of energy in green buildings is an important way to optimize building energy consumption and sustainable development. Through measures such as optimizing energy system design and improving energy utilization efficiency, building energy consumption can be further reduced, environmental pollution can be reduced, and the development of the construction industry can be promoted. However, further research and practice are still needed to continuously improve relevant technologies and policies to promote the application and development of sustainable types of energy in buildings.

Impacts of pilot carbon emission trading policies on urban environmental pollution: Evidence from China

The trading of carbon emissions is a crucial regulatory method to address environmental pollution issues. This study takes China's carbon emission trading pilot policy established in 2013 as a quasi-natural experiment and uses the DID model to empirically test the urban panel data from 2006 to 2019. The results show that the carbon emission trading pilot policy can effectively reduce urban environmental pollution, and this effect is more noticeable in mid-western cities, northern cities, cities with fewer resources, and large-scale cities. In addition, to address the urban environmental pollution problem through this policy, the government is encouraged to raise its environmental protection awareness and put more effort into the innovation of technology. In general, this study uses carbon emission trading policies from China to confirm that market-based incentive environmental regulation tools can effectively reduce environmental pollution in urban areas. These findings can provide more theoretical support and empirical evidence for the government to use mechanisms of the market to effectively solve pollution problems, improve ecological environment quality, and accelerate the realization of green economy.

Enhancing Green Port Construction through Advanced Computing: An Evolutionary Game Model under Social Accountability and Government Supervision

Ports, as pivotal hubs for global resource consumption and pollution emissions, have garnered considerable attention in the pursuit of sustainability. Despite the Chinese government’s efforts in promoting the green construction of ports and a growing public awareness of environmental protection, progress remains sluggish, with pollution and energy consumption issues still rampant. This paper introduces an evolutionary game model that leverages advanced computing techniques, including big data analytics and simulation, to optimize green port construction strategies, supervision, and enforcement under the lens of social accountability. By applying the Jacobi matrix for analyzing equilibrium paths at diverse initial settings and conducting simulations under various scenarios of punishment intensity and social accountability probabilities, this study unveils that high social accountability likelihoods naturally incentivize ports towards green practices. Conversely, in low accountability scenarios, differentiated outcomes emerge from imposing penalties on ports and local governments. Notably, increasing penalties on ports substantially elevates green construction standards, whereas local government penalties exhibit only transient efficacy. Furthermore, leveraging artificial intelligence for predictive analysis and simulation demonstrates the critical role of technological advancements in enhancing green port construction. The study proposes augmenting penalties on ports, amplifying social oversight, and diminishing green construction costs via port consortia as strategic measures to expedite China’s transition to green ports.

Lateral behavior of wood frame shear wall using PVC wood-plastic composite (WPC) veneer panels

With the growing awareness of environmental protection and green ecology, there has been significant attention on the utilization of new energy-saving and environmentally friendly materials in building structures. This article proposes a novel structure for PVC wood-plastic composite wall panels. The structure comprises Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) wood-plastic composite materials as the facing panel and SPF (Spruce-Pine-Fir) dimensional lumber as the wall framework, connected using self-tapping screws. In this study, two standard composite wall panel specimens were subjected to testing using both monotonic loading and low-cycle reciprocating loading methods. Finite element models of the composite wall panels were created using ANSYS Workbench software for analysis, investigating the lateral performance of PVC wood-plastic composite wall panels. The analysis results indicate that PVC wood-plastic composite wall panels exhibit favorable shear strength, elastic lateral stiffness, and lateral deformation as shear walls. The shear wall model can be accurately represented in finite element software, with minimal discrepancy between experimental and finite element analysis results. Consequently, the utilization of PVC wood-plastic composite wall panels as shear walls holds promise for future applications in the structural field.

Research on environment and sustainable development education under the background of green ecology

Abstract The implementation of environmental and sustainable development goal (SDG) education helps to cultivate people's awareness of environmental protection and the concept of SDG, and is conducive to the protection and management of the environment. However, due to the weak awareness of education and lack of environmental protection knowledge in the environment and SDG education, environmental protection work has been affected. Therefore, this article proposed the implementation strategy of environment and SDG education from the perspective of green ecology. This research utilized datasets agricultural biomass accumulated from five cities of Guandong (i.e., Foshan [F], Heshan [H], Nanxiong [N], and Shantou [S]) province, China. Through experimental research, the utilization rate of agricultural waste and utilization ratio of straw was explored by using data envelopment analysis, and then, the environmental awareness of students and the environmental education level of teachers under the environmental and SDG education strategies of green ecological concept were combined. The results showed that the proportion of straw waste biomass utilization in S city was the highest among the four cities; the implementation strategy of environment and SDG education proposed in this article can enhance students’ awareness of environmental protection by 5.21% and improve environmental education level of teachers by 9.51%.

Application Status and Development of Green Coatings

With the progress of modern society, people's awareness of environmental protection is gradually enhanced, and the problem of environmental protection is also increasingly paid attention to. At present, various green environmental protection coatings have become popular in many countries and regions. Green environmental protection coating as a new, efficient, safe and pollution-free environment-friendly coating, on the premise of sustainable development, through continuous innovation and research and development, can not only protect the natural environment, but also beneficial to human health. The purpose of this paper is to give a brief overview of green coatings, introduce the application status and production development of green coatings, and summarize the possible development trends and prospects of green coatings in the future.

Temperature trend and corporate cash holdings

AbstractWe examine the causal impact of climate uncertainty on companies’ cash holdings using local temperature trends. We find a notable increase in cash reserves among companies in response to rising climate‐related risks. We also identify two significant channels through which climate uncertainty influences firms’ cash management: heightened environmental enforcement risk and increased physical risk. Furthermore, we observe that the positive effect of temperature trends on cash holdings is more pronounced for financially constrained firms and those with a lower level of environmental protection awareness. External financing through equity and debt issuance, as well as cost reduction strategies involving research and development and selling, general, and administrative activities, represent viable avenues for firms to bolster their cash reserves. However, financially constrained firms are less inclined to build up cash reserves through debt financing. Our findings underscore the precautionary nature of corporate cash policies and shed light on how temperature fluctuations can significantly shape corporate behavior.

Research on the driving factors of rural residents' pro-environmental behavior under the background of frequent heat waves

Heat wave events have frequently occurred worldwide in recent years, and continuous high temperatures have severely impacted human life and ecosystems. Given this problem, the government and the public must cooperate closely to participate in global environmental governance. Among them, pro-environmental behavior is the most significant form for citizens to participate in environmental protection and fulfill social responsibilities. It plays an essential role in mitigating extremely high temperatures worldwide and achieving "carbon neutrality" and sustainable development of the world environment. Based on this, the study utilized the field survey data of 554 respondents from 14 villages in Xi'an and applied a structural equation model that integrates the theory of planned behavior and protection motivation theory to identify the main determinants of the pro-environmental behavior of rural dwellers. The research reported that: 1) The integrated model of the theory of planned behavior and protection motivation theory is suitable for studying people's pro-environmental behavior in the context of heat waves. 2) Heat risk perception, response efficacy, self-efficacy, and subjective norms significantly improved rural residents' pro-environmental behavior. In contrast, response cost had an opposite negative impact on rural residents' pro-environmental behavior. Among them, subjective norms had the most considerable effect. Based on these, we recommend that local governments promote public participation in environmental governance through the following methods: 1) Strengthen the publicity and education of heat wave knowledge and improve public awareness of heat wave risks. 2) Increase investment in environmental protection facilities and reward the public for environmental protection behavior to reduce the cost of the public's pro-environmental behavior. 3) Give full play to the leading role of government cadres and improve the public's awareness of environmental protection through the impact of the social environment.

Application of Blockchain Technology in Green Supply Chain

Consumer awareness of green environmental protection is the main driving force for manufacturers to produce green products, cultivate consumers' environment-friendly consumption concept, improve consumers' green preference, and actively guide consumers to buy green and low-carbon products. Green trust is an important factor leading consumers to buy green products, the application of blockchain technology can improve the transparency of green information, maintain the green brand image, and then enhance green trust, increase the sales of green products.

Effects of environmental awareness training and environmental commitment on firm's green innovation performance: Empirical insights from medical equipment suppliers.

In recent years, the intensification of global industrialization coupled with the enterprise's production and operating activities have caused pollution, increasing the current environmental pressure. Relevant government departments in China have instituted several stringent measures (environmental protection sensitization and awareness activities, training sessions, and exchange activities targeted towards enterprise managers) to address these rising environmental problems. Though these measures have gained traction over the years, there is a dearth of research on their effectiveness on the green innovation performance of enterprises. To bridge the gap, this research explores the effect of environmental awareness training, knowledge exchange activities, and commitment on green innovation performance with survey data from 285 medical equipment manufacturing companies in China. It further expands the theoretical application of environmental awareness training, commitment, and innovation performance from the lens of the Knowledge-Based View. The findings depict a positive relationship between environmental awareness training and innovation performance. It also finds a mediating influence of environmental commitment in the relationship between environmental awareness training and green innovation performance. Furthermore, environmental knowledge exchange activities positively moderate the relationship between environmental awareness training and environmental commitment. These findings offer valuable insights for the green development of medical equipment manufacturing enterprises and the government to formulate environmental protection policies.

An intelligent interval forecasting system based on fuzzy time series and error distribution characteristics for air quality index

Due to the emergency environment pollution problems, it is imperative to understand the air quality and take effective measures for environmental governance. As a representative measure, the air quality index (AQI) is a single conceptual index value simplified by the concentrations of several routinely monitored air pollutants according to the proportion of various components in the air. With the gradual enhancement of awareness of environmental protection, air quality index forecasting is a key point of environment management. However, most of the traditional forecasting methods ignore the fuzziness of original data itself and the uncertainty of forecasting results which causes the unsatisfactory results. Thus, an innovative forecasting system combining data preprocessing technique, kernel fuzzy c-means (KFCM) clustering algorithm and fuzzy time series is successfully developed for air quality index forecasting. Concretely, the fuzzy time series that handle the fuzzy set is used for the main forecasting process. Then the complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition and KFCM are respectively developed for data denoising and interval partition. Furthermore, the interval forecasting method based on error distribution is developed to measure the forecasting uncertainty. Finally, the experimental simulation and evaluation system verify the great performance of proposed forecasting system and the promising applicability in a practical environment early warning system.

A Mini Review on the Chemical and Bio-Medicinal Aspects along with Energy Storage Applications of Anthraquinone and its Analogues

Abstract: Quinones have established enthusiasm of the researchers because of their enormous applicable properties. Researchers are now concerned about the synthesized and natural anthraquinone based derivatives due to their distinctive properties. Intensive research has been made with special focus on laxative, antiulcerogenic, inhibition of enzymes, cytotoxicity, antimicrobial, antiinflammatory, antiarthritic, antirheumatic, antidepressant, fungicidal, insecticidal, antioxidant and antitumor activity of anthraquinone based derivatives. The awareness of environmental protection, safety and health, free of pollution, disease and particularly to maintain green, are the derivatives being considered and acknowledged in medicinal research as well as in pharmaceutical world. Anthraquinone linked with amino derivatives has wide-spectrum therapeutic applications and a center of focus as an important biological scaffold in different fields like medicines, electronic industry, and cosmetics. Owing to the remarkable activities of anthraquinone, we outline the structural data, their sources, synthetic routes and therapeutic potentials.

Analysis of Packaging Recycling Mode in Chinese Express Delivery Industry

With the widespread adoption of smartphones and Internet technology, China's express delivery industry has experienced explosive growth. Concurrently, this surge has resulted in the substantial generation of express packaging waste, leading to substantial resource wastage and environmental pollution. There is a need to improve reuse of express packaging in order to reduce the express packaging garbage, and recycling constitutes a crucial step in the reutilization of express packaging materials. The purpose of this study is to investigate the recycling patterns in Chinese Express Industry. This study employed a systematic literature review synthesis method to assess trends, identify gaps, and recommend future approaches to enhance the reuse of express packaging. The focus was on analysing the recycling status, influencing factors, and improvement strategies related to express packaging recycling. Research findings indicate that the recycling of express packaging is confronted with challenges such as high recycling costs and low recycling efficiency in China. Therefore, this paper proposes the combination of low-cost standardized packaging for express delivery, along with consumer awareness of environmental protection and an efficient recycling system, can significantly boost the recycling and reutilization of express delivery packaging. This study will contribute to enhancing the reusability and recycling of express packaging by improving the recycling process, thereby reducing the generation of express waste and minimizing resource wastage.

The Oriental Turn of American Wilderness Literature in the Twentieth Century

Abstract: Early-American wilderness literature mainly praised the vast, magical, beautiful, and pleasant natural wilderness, expressed ideas of returning to nature, and raised environmental protection awareness through the writers' personal experiences. In the late-twentieth century, American ecological literary eco-critics turned to Eastern philosophy, and then developed a post-modern ecological holism. Wilderness literature of this period also reflected a significant shift to the East mainly in three aspects: (1) In a manner recalling the observations of Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu, the range of wilderness literature extended to include wilderness in urban environments. (2) Corresponding to the East "Chaos" philosophy, literary speculation appeared in wilderness writing, trying to make the readers aware of limitations of a pure rational thinking from the level of ideology. (3) With the concept of "Dao," American wilderness literature reflected a consciousness returning to social issues and played a more engaged role in social responsibilities.

The Impact of Cultural Capital on Economic Growth Based on Green Low-Carbon Endogenous Economic Growth Model

This paper incorporates cultural capital, urbanization development level and carbon emission reduction input as endogenous factors into the endogenous economic growth model. By using optimal control theory and based on empirical analysis, this paper explores the relationship between cultural capital and green low-carbon endogenous economic growth. This paper finds that at the company level, cultural capital improves the technical efficiency and institutional efficiency of firms and then promotes economic growth. At the government level, cultural capital and government investment in urban fixed cultural assets promotes economic growth. At the resident level, the transformation of cultural capital into environmental protection awareness promotes firms and residents to independently practice green low-carbon behaviors. Firms can independently research and develop green low-carbon digital science and technology and produce green low-carbon digital goods, and residents can engage in green digital consumption, thereby reducing carbon emissions and carbon emission input and promoting economic growth. This paper explores the role of cultural capital in firms’ R&D, then promotes green low-carbon transformation of firms by exploring the role of cultural capital in government investment, promoting the government to increase investment in green low-carbon cultural education, exploring the impact of cultural capital on the thinking and behavior of firms and residents, and promoting the independent practice of green low-carbon behavior by firms and residents, ultimately promoting the development of a green low-carbon economy.

With the trend of sustainable development in business and the awareness of environmental protection of customers, businesses are forced to apply environmentally friendly business models.The study examines the impact of adaptive culture and green innovation on green performance through employee commitment. The study adopted the Structural Equation Model (SEM) to test the fit of the model and the research hypotheses with the analytical data collected from 198 employees of enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City. The results showed that there is a positive impact of adaptive culture on green innovation. Besides, the research also proved that green innovation has a positive impact on green performance. In addition, the study also discovered the mediating role of employee commitment in the relationship between green innovation and green performance. Based on the findings, some implications are proposed to help managers to enhance adaptive culture, green innovation and employee commitment, thereby improving green performance.

Do the G20 Countries' Increased Economic Growth, Foreign Direct Investment, Industry Value-added, and Population Change Contribute to CO2 Emissions?

Economic development plays a crucial role in contributing to CO2 emissions. Therefore, this research aims to investigate environmental degradation caused by economic activities within the scope of G-20 Countries, which comprise the largest economies and advanced industries. The primary objective of this study is to deliver an empirical study of gross domestic product, foreign direct investment, industry value-added, and population on CO2 emissions in G20 Countries. Using panel data from 2000-2022, the research found a positive correlation between GDP and CO2 emissions. Meanwhile, by utilizing GDP squared, the existence of the Environmental Kuznet Curve (EKC) theory was identified. The EKC theory indicates a significant negative correlation between GDP squared and CO2 emission. This is attributed to several factors, including increased public awareness of environmental protection and technological advancements in developed countries, contributing to improved energy efficiency. For the variables of FDI and population, a negative correlation with CO2 was found. On the other hand, the value-added industry shows a positive and significant correlation with CO2 emissions.

Environmental regulation: An enhancing or burden for social welfare and public health?

Public health has been associated with environmental pollution and regulations. With the increasing awareness of environmental protection, the real effects of environmental regulations and mechanisms on public health remain uncertain. We develop a theoretical model of individual utility and investigate how environmental regulations affect public health from a social welfare perspective. By using the panel data from the China Household Finance Survey (CHFS) in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019, we find that environmental regulations positively influence public health. This positive effect is attributable to a boost in employment and an improvement in individual happiness. Furthermore, the heterogeneity analysis reveals that environmental regulations are more likely to affect groups with low education, middle-aged, living in eastern China and rural areas. These results provide a comprehensive understanding of the heterogeneous effects of environmental regulation on health and offer a new perspective for policy-makers to balance social welfare with environmentally sustainable development.

Analysis on the Development, Sales and Development of New Energy Vehicles by BYD Company

With the continuous improvement of the transportation system, the increasing demand for transportation tools by the people, and the increasing awareness of environmental protection among the global public, new energy vehicles have been widely favored, and the sales of new energy vehicles by BYD, which is committed to research on new energy vehicles, have also significantly increased in recent years. Based on the financial statements and other data released on BYD's official website, this paper conductes SWOT analysis, financial statement analysis, and marketing strategy analysis to study the overall operating status of the company and the development and sales of new energy vehicles, and proposed corresponding suggestions for its shortcomings. Research and analysis have found that due to BYD's overall good business performance in recent years, it has invested a large amount of funds and human resources in the research and development of new energy vehicles, sales, and gradually expanded overseas markets. In recent years, especially in the Chinese market, sales have continued to rise, and brand influence has further expanded.
